Who We Are

We are young people from California seeking to positively influence state and national legislation and policy. In tandem with the CYD diasporic and cultural caucuses, local California immigrant communities, and the state government, we seek to promote progressive and democratic values that align with our inclusive and nuanced values. Membership in the Caucus entails a voice in the Socratic discussion of international relations. We encourage all people to join, regardless of their experience in the field!

Our Mission

The International Relations Caucus has three founding mission statements.
The first: foster dialogue, nuance, and contextualization on international issues that affect our communities.
The second: promote the diversity of our state and its people through an inclusive, multicultural, educational environment.
And the third: promote, advocate, and recommend legislation on ongoing international issues to accurately reflect the progressive ideas, values, and beliefs of young people in our state. We shall advance these principles through means of public statements, social movements & organizations, and lobbying elected & appointed leaders within both the public & the California Democratic Party and its affiliates/subsidiaries.
